Opens new doors...

"David Tang and VOX produce music that opens new doors to choral worlds most people never get the opportunity to experience. This ensemble's place in the city of Charlotte is invaluable, because not only do they entertain an audience with spot-on vocal production and interpretation, but the listener is also, through song, educated on what it means to be a citizen of the world."

There's always an interesting spin...

"I'm impressed by the quality and diversity of the music.  You never know what you'll hear, other than that it will be fascinating and enjoyable.  It's not boring old chamber music, even if they perform chamber music. There's always an interesting spin that makes you sit up and think, "Huh, I didn't know a large group could sound like that."  I don't often go to music performances other than rock concerts because I'm afraid I'll be bored, but these come with an interesting story that takes intricate music and expands it beyond sound. You never know what you're going to hear, other than that it will be better than you expected."

- Bill N., Charlotte

A choir with a difference.

"VOX is a choir with a difference. Their concerts are full of surprises: diverse musical styles, premier performances, and frequent use of visuals for added spice. I thoroughly enjoy them."
