J.S. Bach’s St. John Passion stands as one of the greatest musical and spiritual expressions of all time. Its dramatic, almost operatic, portrayal of Christ’s last days forms the backdrop for profound music of grace, love, and truth in the face of violent persecution and injustice.
VOX presents a staged performance on April 1, in collaboration with Opera Carolina, directed and choreographed by Baroque opera and dance specialist Paige Whitley-Bauguess.

In honor of U.S. armed forces veterans, VOX is joined by full orchestra, guest choirs, and vocal soloists in an inspiring and uplifting performance of patriotic favorites, including The Battle Hymn of the Republic,America the Beautiful, and a rousing medley of service songs. Featured is Ralph Vaughan Williams’ profound Dona Nobis Pacem, accompanied by dramatic 3-D Civil War photography (3-D glasses provided). Note: Due to the graphic nature of some of the photography, this program may not be suitable for young children.

VOX presents its annual Christmas Lessons & Carols service, broadcast live by Charlotte’s classical radio station, WDAV. This year features beautiful new arrangements of favorite carols, joyous music for brass, organ, and choir, and audience sing-alongs.
VOX joins the Singers of Centenary in this solemn and uplifting event featuring music by Bob Chilcott - his Requiem and settings of Walk Softly and An Irish Blessing.
As part of Opera Carolina’s ART POETRY MUSIC series, VOX joins choruses and soloists in a musical extravaganza celebrating the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
